Adults with learning difficulties have the chance to gain a nature and conservation qualification thanks to Sunnyside Rural Trust.
Groups are working on projects such as owl boxes and an indoor pond as part of the unaccredited John Muir Award. The ultimate aim of the project is to create a tranquillity garden at the charity’s Hemel Food Garden base. Senior project worker Matt Rutland said: “The tranquility garden will be accessible for all and will include lots of sensory plants.
“This is also the first step on the rung of starting accredited learning through Sunnyside. So far the guys seem to be really enjoying it.”
