A lion never loses sleep over the opinions of unimportant sheep

What is your Favourite thing to do to relax?

Visiting my favourite place on the planet, St Ives in Cornwall, or playing my guitars.

What is the thing you hate doing the most?

Either visiting the dentist or waiting for MRI scan test results. Had some bad experiences with dentists in my youth but I have to say my dentist now is excellent

Invite five famous people for dinner, past or present – who and why?

Well other than my parents, late brother and grandparents: Bob Dylan, as I find him one of the most interesting people of the last century. Master Masatoshi Nakayama, the legendary Japanese instructor who gave the whole world Shotokan Karate. Buddy Holly, who was my first musical hero and still is to this day. Jesus Christ of Nazareth as I have much to thank him for and so many questions I could ask. Billy Connolly, the funniest man I have ever seen. What a dinner that would be!

What was the last film you watched?

The Godfather II (Robert De Niro and Al Pacino at their very best) Have seen this epic many times!

If the world was ending in 2014, what would you do differently?

Pray earnestly that the world wouldn’t end quite so soon, as I’m not quite finished yet!

Your favourite thing to do or place to visit in Dacorum?

Walking in Ashridge Park especially in the past with my two red setters, Bill and Ben

If you could witness any event, past, present or future, what would it be and why?

The total cure of cancer. I think the reason is very obvious as it has hurt and killed so many innocent people

As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?

Professional footballer for Wolves

What’s the hardest thing you’ve ever done?

Either reaching 8th Dan in Shotokan Karate or surviving prostate cancer

What is the best or worst gift you have ever given or received?

Best = Longevity. Worst = Foul and cheap bottles of claret

How would you like to be remembered?

As someone who helped others along life’s tricky path
