Future chefs’ dinner is spreading the love for Abbots Langley disability charity

Valentine's Day.
Valentine's Day.

A Valentine’s-themed meal for 54 lucky lovers will help raise money for an Abbots Langley-based disability charity.

Budding chefs from West Herts College’s Food Academy Programme will be knocking up a four-course dinner complete with accompanying wines for each section of the meal, as well as a glass of bubbly with canapés.

The fresh-faced foodies will be led by a team of experienced tutors in preparing the gourmet feast, which will raise funds to support DEMAND, which is dedicated to helping people with disabilities that require bespoke equipment to help them with their everyday lives.

The charity, based in Mallard Road, Abbots Langley, relies on donations to cover 80 per cent of its budget.

Tickets cost £30 and must be bought in advance by emailing denise@demand.org.uk.

The meal will take place in The Restaurant at West Herts College’s Watford campus on Tuesday, February 11 from 6.15pm to 9.30pm.

There will also be a raffle held during the evening and places are strictly limited to 54.
