FROM Hemel Hempstead to Oxford Street and Paris, fashion label Isy & Peeps is on a speedy runway to success.
The label created by fashion designer Israel Imarni is going to be sold as a concession in Topshop’s Oxford Street store, which is an almost unheard of accomplishment for any fledgling brand just one year old.
Israel has been running the business with the help of her son Pierre from offices in Breakspear Park, Hemel Hempstead since last August and she has already started exporting to Japan, Hong Kong and America.
Next year France will be in her sights as she has been invited to exhibit at leading industry trade show Who’s Next fashion show at Paris’ Porte De Versailles in January.
She said the on going support from Business Link and its High Growth Business Boot Camp Workshop has taught her the importance of marketing and how best to portray her business to customers.
The former fashion buyer said: “The lessons, coupled with my knowledge and contacts in the fashion business, and of course the fact that the buyer really liked my designs, directly led to my pitch being accepted by Topshop.”
Israel explained that setting up Isy & Peeps felt like jumping off a cliff but the Business Link workshops on sales and marketing significantly bolstered her confidence as a new business owner.
She invested in professional design for her logo and marketing materials from agencies Business Link helped locate and select.
