The Chilterns Conservation Board is calling on nature lovers to get involved in the management of their local countryside.

The organisation is aiming to recruit three new voluntary members who want to get involved in projects that care and conserve for the area of outstanding natural beauty.

The positions are open to anyone, and require a commitment of around two days per month to attend meetings and events. Specialist knowledge or expertise are not required – just a passion and enthusiasm for the English countryside.

Interviews will be held in February next year, with appointments starting on April 1 and running for three years.

Volunteers receive no salary but an allowance of £560 per year. Contact Christopher Buxton on 0300 060 2745 for an information pack or visit for more.
