SCHOOL children played a key part in helping organise a PE week.

Youngsters at St Thomas More Primary School learned circus skills, went up a climbing wall and enjoyed a visit from Saracens rugby team during the event.

Watford Football Club manager Malky Mackay also paid a visit.

School council press officers Ella Taggart, 11, and Jessica Lochan-Jenkinson, 10, helped design posters to promote the event and spoke to The Gazette.

Ella said: “We were excited to have a PE week.

“We had lots and lots of fun.”

Tara Pelley, 10, who also attends the school in Greenway, Berkhamsted, is writing up a report on the week.

Ella said: “I enjoyed the rock climbing wall, but I never made it to the top because I am a bit afraid of heights.

“But I did get very near it.”

Tara said: “I got right to the top. It was quite scary, but I quite like rocks and climbing and that kind of thing.”
