DON’T miss the school fair where a headteacher will get splatted.

The Splat-a-Teacher board will open at Westfield First School from 1.30pm on Saturday, with head Dolores Bennett getting wetted at 2.40pm.

Other events during the 12midday to 3pm summer fete include two bouncy castles, a bungee run, hog roast barbecue and stalls selling toys, food and more.

Becky Plenderleith, from the school’s parent teacher association, said: “Last year’s fair was a huge success and we hope to top it this year.”

There will be a raffle where participants could win a ticket to La Gavroche, the two Michelin-star London restaurant run where Michel Roux Jnr is chef.

He’s been on TV shows including MasterChef, The Apprentice and Gordon Ramsey’s Hell’s Kitchen.

The annual fete, which has taken place for more than 10 years, raised £4,000 for school funds in 2010 and attracted hundreds of guests.
