A car ended up in a ditch after veering from the Leighton Buzzard Road near Dagnall yesterday morning.
It is not known why the black Peugeot 207 crashed while heading towards Hemel Hempstead at around 10am, but the vehicle suffered significant damage in the incident.
Herts Police attended the scene near Pedley Hill before handing over to colleagues from the neighbouring Bedfordshire force.
The driver, a man in his 20s, was trapped in the car in the ditch alongside the A4146, which links Hemel Hempstead with Leighton Buzzard.
An ambulance was called to the scene where the man was thought to have neck and hand injuries, as well as a small facial injury.
He was taken to Luton and Dunstable Hospital for further assessment but his condition was not thought to be serious.
