A PIZZA delivery man died when he drove through a give-way sign in Hemel Hempstead, an inquest heard.
Kai Le, aged 24, of Cunningham Avenue in Hatfield, was killed when his car collided with a Ford Transit van in Belmont Road, Hemel Hempstead, on March 23.
His red SEAT was thrown into a telegraph pole by the force of the collision.
He was rushed to Watford General Hospital before being transferred to the National Hospital in London but passed away four days later on Saturday, March 27.
Hatfield Coroner’s Court was told the driver of the van had no time to react when he saw Mr Le’s car just before the crash.
The cause of his death has been recorded as intra cerebral haemorrhage as a result of a road traffic incident.
Coroner Edward Thomas recorded a verdict of accidental death at a hearing on Thursday.
Residents say there have been many accidents at the junction with Athelstan Road and Risedale Road and have launched a campaign for safety measures.
