WITH just three weeks to go until the Herts 10K charity run, there is still time for people to sign up.
The event’s organisers are calling for people to join in with raising money for Iain Rennie Grove House Hospice Care, which supports people with life-limiting illnesses in Hertfordshire and Buckinghamshire.
Only 15 per cent of the runners who took part in last year’s event raised money for the chosen charity so the Herts 10K team are encouraging people to be sponsored for the run taking place at Rothamsted Research in Harpenden on Sunday, October 9.
In the past five years more than 10,000 people have run the countryside route around Redbourn and have helped people in need with the £550,000 raised.
This year the fundraising target has been set at £150,000 and people who collect more than £100 will be entered into a prize draw.
