CHARITY volunteers have been given the tour of an emergency warehouse full of supplies for countries in crisis.

The Oxfam workers from Berkhamsted were shown water tanks used in refugee camps and easily assembled latrines by a member of staff at the Bicester unit.

Volunteer Audrey Hope said: “It was so interesting to meet someone who is dealing with these drastic situations at first-hand.”

She said the trip last month helped her better understand the world’s current problems.

Oxfam is helping 250,000 Kenyans affected by the drought in Africa. It’s helping 700,000 in Somalia, where there is also a civil war.
