Challenge Yourself: A special curry night thank you

Volunteer Centre Dacorum
Volunteer Centre Dacorum

The prime motivation for people to get involved in volunteering is to tackle a new challenge.

A big thank you to all who supported the Volunteer Centre Dacorum curry night and to Sitar restaurant of Boxmoor for providing delicious food.

This was the first of a series of events planned for the coming months and raised over £230 for the charity.

Volunteer Centre Dacorum has been supporting other charities and community groups for more than 40 years.

Known as the charity that helps other charities, we have a track record of helping to build and strengthen our communities and to transform the lives of those that get involved.

We support more than 470 other local groups to find the volunteers they need to keep vital services running.

During the last 10 years we have helped over 10,700 people of all ages, abilities and walks of life to become volunteers.

Check out our website and facebook page for future events? Together we can make the next 10 years even better.

Would you like to share your interest in nature and outdoor environment with children aged 4-16?

Activities will include pond dipping, building hurdles and animal spotting.

Linked with the RSPB, the Box Moor Bird group has been going for a number of years and caters for a range of children in two popular Saturday morning groups. Come and join us as a leader or junior leader.

Volunteers are needed to help with radio communications and marshalling for events held by charity organisations and voluntary groups.

Could you help marshall and provide radio communications for school fetes, bonfire nights, fun days in Gadebridge Park?
