Interior design fiends can snap up a one-off piece for a snip this weekend – all while raising money for a hospice.
The weekend at the Returned to Glory showroom in Northbridge Road, Berkhamsted will offer upcycled furniture together with soft furnishings in an array of beautiful on-trend botanic and floral designs.
All the money raised from the event - which is between 10pm and 5pm on Saturday and 10.30am and 4.30pm on Sunday – will go directly to The Hospice of St Francis.
the 6-7 June (Saturday 10 – 5pm and Sunday 10.30–4.30pm).
The hospice cares for people with life-shortening illnesses across the county and also provides vital support for their families.
Francesca Alden, manager of Returned to Glory, will be on hand to offer practical demonstrations on putting a room scheme together.
Plus there will be advice on the latest interior trends and design tips from the knowledgeable shop team.
Ms Alden said: “We have many beautiful items set aside in lovely florals, botanics, turquoise and orange fabrics – all of which are very popular this summer.
“Our talented volunteers have also been creating beautiful handmade items like cushions and lampshades with designer fabric which will instantly provide statement pieces for Berkhamsted living rooms!
“We look forward to seeing as many people as possible at the event and hope to make as much money as we can for the hospice.”
The shop is also running a summer programme of ‘Learn the Basics’ paint workshops using Autentico chalk paint which will teach participants how to master the shabby chic look, plus include experimentation with crackling techniques and using colour waxes.
Dates for these three-hour workshops, which all run from 10am - 1pm, are: Sat 12th and 27th June and Fri 26th June. July dates are Fri 3rd and 17th July and Sat 18th July.
They cost £75, which includes all materials, refreshments and a completed painted item to take home.
