Dacorum Borough Council, working alongside Hertfordshire WasteAware Partnership, has teamed up with Eco Systems to host a series of IT recycling events across the county during September and October.
The events are aimed at reducing the impact of IT waste on the environment while helping businesses and residents get rid of unwanted clutter for free.
You can drop off your redundant business IT equipment such as unwanted computers, monitors, printers, scanners etc for free on:
Saturday October 1, 9am – 3pm at Cupid Green Depot, Redbourn Road, Hemel Hempstead, HP2 7BA
IT equipment including computers and televisions can be donated, and all computer hard drives donated will be erased.
None of the equipment will go to landfill, with 85 per cent refurbished and reused and the remainder taken apart and recycled.
Recycling your unwanted electrical items allows the valuable materials in them to be used to make new products and helps reduce the amount of waste we send to landfill.
For those businesses that may have large amounts of IT equipment for recycling, you can arrange for the equipment to be collected by EcoSystems Ltd.
To discuss your needs and arrange a collection, contact Dayna Wood, business development manager, Dayna@ecosystems-group.co.uk quoting Hertfordshire Waste Partnership.
To find out more call WasteAware on 0300 123 4051 or visit www.wasteaware.org.uk
This is a great opportunity for businesses to save money in I.T. waste disposal, divert valuable waste from landfill and improve their green credentials.
