IS your company a real winner? Well, now is the chance to prove it.
The first ever Herts is Ready for Winners Corporate Games will pit firm against firm on July 18.
Its aim will be to help promote the importance of staying healthy at work.
Organised by the Hertfordshire is Ready for Winners Partnership and Gosling Sports Park and supported by the NHS and Saracens Foundation, this new event will bring teams together at Gosling Sports Park in Welwyn Garden City in five-a-side football, kwik cricket, doubles tennis and an athletics finale.
With the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games on Hertfordshire’s doorstep next year, teams will have a chance to meet new people, network, promote their services and get back into sport.
Olympic silver medallist Mark Richardson said: “Wellbeing in the workplace has obvious benefits and it is great to see people getting involved and competing in an event which is fun too.”
Derrick Ashley, Hertfordshire County Council’s planning chief and chairman of the Hertfordshire is Ready for Winners Board, said: “This event offers Hertfordshire businesses great opportunities for playing competitive sport, keeping fit, having a day out of the office, networking and exploring the synergies between sport and business.”
An entry of seven people per team is required. Entry costs £125 per team and includes all sporting activities, equipment, lunch and a t-shirt. There are also sponsorship opportunities.
