THE author of a new book says we face “the biggest crisis in human history” unless we change our ways.
Bruce Nixon, who is a founding member of sustainibility group Transition Town Berkhamsted, says people are consuming 30 per cent more than what the planet is capable of providing.
Growing our own food rather than importing it and using renewable energy sources such as solar power could help save the world from an approaching disaster, says Bruce.
He says population growth is only adding to the draining of the world’s natural resources.
His latest book A Better World is Possible, which was published last Friday, sets out how we can cope with this new growth.
