We know the value of the business community to the borough, and work hard to enable companies – large and small – to prosper.

To make sure Dacorum is a place where industry can flourish it is vital to ensure the business community is connected.

This is why business events – like our popular Dacorum: Look No Further Showcase held in July – are so important.

Hundreds of people from local industry attended the day which focused on celebrating and promoting our borough’s businesses and building links between customers and suppliers.

We also promoted local produce with ‘A taste of Dacorum’ food fayre and a lunch made from locally sourced food. A great day which ‘showcased’ the fantastic range of trade and industry we have in the borough.

Another way we are communicating with local industry is through the Dacorum Business Survey – this is an important opportunity for you to let us know about issues affecting your business. The survey focusses on Finance so please spare five minutes and give us your views:

Finally, on the topic of keeping connected I’m delighted that more than half of businesses on the Maylands Business Park are finding their internet connections even quicker with the installation of super- fast fibre optic broadband.

This exciting update is a boost to the local community and, by this time next year, will be rolled out across the whole site.

Great news for our business park – one of the largest in the UK – and another step forward in putting Dacorum on the map and making sure it is a place people want to connect their business to.
