TOP council chiefs have appeared in front of the camera as part of a funding bid.
Dacorum Borough Council chief executive Daniel Zammit and leader of the council Councillor Andrew Williams could be spotted with film crews outside Hemel Hempstead’s Civic Centre last Tuesday.
The filming is part of an application package for funding towards the Hemel Evolution project from the Parks for People Heritage Lottery Fund.
Under the project Hemel Hempstead’s town centre and Maylands Industrial Estate will be regenerated with improvements including the building of a new supermarket and college campus.
The filming, which focused on plans to revamp the Water Gardens, will be combined with footage of people’s views about the area taken during a public consultation event to let people know about the plans, which was held in Marlowes on May 5.
The total amount of funding being applied for is still to be decided and will be discussed at a council Cabinet meeting in July.
