Hundreds of people gathered in Hemel Hempstead on Sunday as fundraising events took place in honour of murder victim Billy Dove.
A Billy Dove Memorial Cup and Community Campaign Day took place at Leverstock Green Football Club, while a Billy Dove Memorial and Family Fun Day was held on the same day at Hemel Hempstead Town Football Club.
The events were run separately, with money raised at Leverstock Green FC going to the Billy’s Wish Charity, and the Hemel Town FC event organised in support of The Ben Kinsella Trust and The Billy Dove Memorial Fund.
The community campaign event at Leverstock Green FC, which also saw some money donated to meningitis research, was organised by Billy’s dad Paul Dove and the Dove family and raised nearly £3,000.
The festivities at Hemel Town FC, meanwhile, were organised by Billy’s sister Lucy Taylor and featured a visit from actress Brooke Kinsella.
