Star names from the world of comedy are beginning to be slotted into the calendar for this summer’s Tringe festival.

One coup for organisers of the Tring-based feast of fun which is a favourite for stand-ups honing their shows for the Edinburgh Gringe is the confirmation that cult performer Stewart Lee will be part of the Tringe experience, making up a double bill with the manic Tony Law on Monday, July 1.

Fey festival favourite Russell Kane has also confirmed, for Tuesday, July 9, and more dates are being announced all the time on the festival’s new Facebook page.

Music and mirth specialists the Horne Section, who sold out Pendley’s Court Theatre for the Get Stuffed Christmas party, will be making a welcome return on Friday, July 5.

Passport tickets, which give admission to all the dates in the three week festival, are on sale now and single tickets will be available from April 26.
