A NEW shooting range was launched on Sunday.

There are now five lanes for air rifle target shooting and four for BB pistol shooting at Ronnie Sunshines in Northbridge Road, Berkhamsted. The pistol lanes are divided into ‘military’ and ‘zombie’ zones.

Owner David Craze said: “We have made our shop about a third bigger, which makes it a much nicer place to visit with more to see.”

He said Ronnie Sunshines has been based at the site for four years, and had been waiting to expand. Work at the store, which deals in shooting supplies and bushcraft survival equipment, began in February.

There was a barbecue to raise cash for Help for Heroes during the open day on Sunday as well as talks from the UK’s leading names in air rifles and bushcraft.
