Girls aged five to 14 from Girlguiding Berkhamsted District are hoping to raise much-needed cash at a Christmas Market on Saturday.

The Rainbows, Brownies and Guides, helped by Senior Section members, are aiming to raise funds for Girlguiding in the town and surrounding villages, and have been working hard preparing for the event.

Stalls will include cakes, tombola, games, books, hampers, and a raffle during the event at Berkhamsted Town Hall from 10am to 1pm.

The special Secret Santa Room is back by popular demand, where children can purchase presents for the special adults in their life and have them gift-wrapped.

Entry is free.

Susanna Bennett, 1st Northchurch Rainbows Guider, said: “We hope lots of people will pop in and enjoy our festive fundraising fete to help support Girlguiding in their area.

“I’m sure high street shoppers will be glad to enjoy our homemade refreshments and take the weight off their feet.”

Girlguiding builds girls’ confidence and raises their aspirations, giving them the chance to have fun and build friendships in a safe, girl-only space.
