Police have said that they are always on the look-out for drink-drivers after two people were arrested for the offence during the weekend.
A Berkhamsted woman, 20, was arrested and charged for drink driving on the town’s Durrants Lane at 1.30am on Saturday.
Later that day - at 5.20pm - a Hemel Hempstead man, 57, was stopped in Nettleden Road, Little Gaddesden. He was arrested on suspicion of being over the drink-drive limit, but later released after a second reading cleared him.
Sgt Peter Huffer said: “Police are around at all times of the day and night and the safety message is clear – if you wish to drink, do not drive. You could lose your licence, or worse, injure or kill yourself or others.”
