BERKHAMSTED School triumphed in a 10-9 win over Bishop’s High in La Jolla on their US lacrosse tour.
The 20 players aged between 14 and 17 flew out to California, USA, on Thursday, March 29 and return to England on Sunday.
Alison Bamforth, the school’s director of girls’ sport, said: “It was a thrilling and tense game. The umpiring was very strict and a good lesson in disciplined play was learned.”
It was the girls’ third win, having won theirfirst two games against other lacrosse clubs.
They also experienced San Francisco, the Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz, an NBA basketball game and San Diego.
