AN army nurse is going to walk 62 miles from London to Brighton to raise money for the soldiers she looks after.

Louise James, 30, from Swing Gate Lane, Berkhamsted, has been in her job for nine years, helping wounded troops in Iraq, Northern Ireland, Germany and the Falklands.

She returned from a stint in Afghanistan, where she has been on two tours of duty, on October 23 last year, having worked in an A&E department there.

Louise said: “You see some horrific things, but you get used to it. You do not think of it – you just crack on and do your job.”
