A pair of students from Hemel Hempstead have picked up impressive results from their studies at Oaklands College in St Albans.
19-year-old Sammie Beresford earned an A* in law, a B in English literature and a B in psychology.
She said: “I was really shocked. I’m going to Sheffield University to study Law. I did loads of revision and it’s all been worth it.”
And Daniel Gregory, 18, collected a B in history, a BB in maths, and an A* for his extended project.
He told the Gazette: “I’m more than happy with my results. It’s been hard work but it’s all been worth it.
“I’m going to take a gap year and do some volunteering in the Philippines with my church.”
