Thousands of runners are taking on the London Marathon on Sunday

An 81-year-old man, a homeless charity CEO and a hockey player are among the many people who will head to the capital this weekend for the London Marathon.

More than 40,000 people are expected to tie up their running boots and take to the streets to complete the 26-mile course on Sunday. We take a look at some of those from Dacorum taking on the challenge.

If you would like your story and fundraising page added to this collation, then please send along a picture and your details to james.averill@jpress.co.uk. We'd be delighted to hear from you.

The Gazette wishes good luck to all those who take part in the Marathon on Sunday, and please do let us know how you all got on!
