THIS year’s Tringe Comedy Festival is about to enter its final week, so if you haven’t booked tickets yet this really is your last chance.
Once again the line-up doesn’t disappoint with editor’s choice Hal Cruttenden and Carey Marx (pictured below) appearing on stage at the Court on Thursday, July 21.
Hal was nominated for the Perrier best newcomer award for his solo show in 2002 and goes from strength to strength.
His TV appearances include the Royal Variety Performance and Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow.
He also recently completed his first national solo tour.
Carey Marx, below, has been a circuit favourite for years, mixing his own blend of dark humour with a mischievous and gleeful delivery.
He has a wilful disregard for the controversial and delicate.
Paul Foot and Holly Walsh are the other picks of the week and they perform at the Court on Saturday, July 23.
The award-winning Paul Foot is one of comedy’s true eccentrics, a surreal and flamboyant one-off whose inspired rants turn the mundane into the magical.
Holly Walsh, who only began performing stand-up in 2006, scooped Chortle’s Best Newcomer Award in 2008 and has appeared on 8 Out of 10 Cats, Mock the Week, Never Mind the Buzzcocks and Dave’s One Night Stand.
Other comedians performing next week are Josh Howie, Steve Hall, Josie Long and the Berko-based Robin Ince.
