An award-winning ensemble drama that was translated to the big screen in a film version featuring star names including Vanessa Redgrave, Sarah Miles and Diana Dors is coming to Chesham’s Elgiva Theatre for a short run next week.
Steaming, first staged in 1981, The Olivier Award winning comedy by Nell Dunn.– best known for iconic slice of life 1960s drama Up The Junction – and is set in the hot room of a run-down public baths in London’s East End, where women from all walks of life meet, to bathe, relax and share their troubles.
The play runs from Wednesday, September 18 to Saturday, September 21 at 8pm with an early evening performance at 6.30pm.
