An amateur production of West End hit Whistle Down The Wind opened at Tring’s Court Theatre last night – but it will only be stopping off until Saturday so you’ll need to make tracks if you want to catch it.

The Berkhamsted Theatre Company are bringing a taste of America’s Deep South to the stage adaptation of the novel by Mary Hayley Bell.

Set in 1950s Louisiana, the audience follows the story of devoutly religious 15-year-old Swallow, who discovers a fugitive hiding in a barn and becomes convinced he is Jesus Christ.

Tickets are priced between £12 and £16 – visit 07543 560478 or visit www.courttheatre.co.uk.
