CALLING all regular or rusty singers - if you’re a tenor, Mozart needs you!
Berkhamsted Choral Society will be performing the moving and much-loved Requiem by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart at St Peter’s Church in Berkhamsted on Saturday, May 7, under the baton of Graham Wili.
Rehearsals are going very well - everyone loves singing this piece - but over the last few months several of the tenors have had to move on.
The choir is now rather female-dominated and they are keen to redress the balance.
This friendly, welcoming choir has around 100 members, and is non-auditioned but high-achieving.
If you can hold a tune, there’s a place for you.
In recent years they’ve performed in venues such as The Royal Festival Hall, Bath Abbey, Wells Cathedral and St Albans Abbey.
The choir presents concerts on tour every summer and over the last four years have sung in Catalonia, Hungary and Flanders.
Rehearsals take place in central Berkhamsted on Tuesday evenings.
