SINGERS are all set for a charity fundraising cathedral tour.

The Gaudeamus Chorale - which includes Berkhamsted and Chorleywood Choral Societies - will go to Yorkshire’s Ripon, Beverley Minster and York Minister Cathedrals later this month. The concert is called ‘Peace and Passion - a choral celebration’

When the singers get back, they will perform at St Peter’s Church in Berkhamsted High Street on Saturday, September 3, at 7.30pm.

All cash raised will go to Cancer Research - to book a ticket, phone the Berkhamsted group’s box office on 07500 431543 or pay on the door.

The Berkhamsted show will include pieces from the York Minister leg of the tour, such as choruses and arias from Handel’s Messiah.

Tour organiser Anthony Ogden said: “The choir has been privileged to sing in many great venues, but none more so than on our forthcoming tour of Yorkshire.”
