THE creator of new-look teeth for a judge in The X Factor has told the Gazette she was ‘lovely’ to work with.

The project to fix the teeth of singer Tulisa Contostavlos, from the rap group N-Dubz, began about six months ago.

Tulisa had surgery by oral surgeon Guy McLellan to reduce the size of her gums and the bones around them, which took three months to heal.

Then Luke Barnett, 52, of Ashlyns Road, Berkhamsted, designed and made her 12 Emax pressed ceramic veneers.

Veneers are a thin layer of material that go over a the surface of existing to restore damaged surfaces and change the shape of the teeth, he said.

Dr David Bloom then sealed them permanently to the tops of her teeth about three weeks ago.

Luke said: “Although she’s a very attractive young woman, she did have a very gummy smile.

“We had to get rid of it.”
