The journey for music promotion team Juicebox started five long years ago at The Flag in Watford – and on Saturday night they’re heading back there to showcase a choice crew of Hemel Hempstead’s top talent.

It’s been more than two years since a Juicebox bill featured at The Flag, and since then the Station Road venue has had a complete makeover with the live music room now in a separate area.

Saturday’s bill of Hemel Hempstead stars in waiting includes Underview, whose hard indie sound and energy have made them firm favourites with a growing fanbase.

There’s also singer-songwriter Michael Hunt – who has provided support for Turin Brakes and former Subways star Billy Lunn – and four-piece Idol Bones, who may have only a few gigs under their belts but are paying their dues in double-quick time.

Also on the bill are Fort Hope, a new band made up of four former members of My Passion.

Providing more music on the night will be DJ Purdy (Juicebox) and DJ Matt Crawley (Juicebox/Transmission)

Tickets are £3 in advance of £5 on the door. Book yours at www.juiceboxindie.com.
