MUSICIAN and funnyman Boothby Graffoe is back in Hemel with his great songs and his own uniquely warped view of life.

Following successful shows on BBC Radio 4 - The Big Booth and Boothby Graffoe in No Particular Order, writing extensively for Omid Djalili - contributing to his live stand up and also providing stand up and sketches for two series of the highly successful Omid Djalili Show on BBC1 - one of the most exported TV shows around the world, plus extensive touring with Canadian super group The Barenaked Ladies, Graffoe is graced with the partnership of talented multi-instrumentalist and percussionist Theseus Gerard.

Bringing to life his latest CD titled Songs For Dogs, Funerals... released to critical acclaim on the February 21 – Graffoe is back where he belongs, in the world of live performance.

The man who was born James Martyn Rogers but who named his alter ego after a Lincolnshire village while driving back from a gig in the late 1980s writes songs which are often surreal as well as funny, and frequently beautiful.

Boothby Graffoe is not a laugh-a-minute comic, he provides something richer than that - a mix of layered, folksy songwriting and arch, offbeat humour.

Makin Projects presents The Return of Boothby Graffoe in association with The Civic, Barnsley at The Old Town Hall Theatre, Hemel Hempstead, Saturday, June 11, 8pm.
