Badger comedians earn their stripes

FORMER Tringe trainee stand-up Lee Bryant launches his own comedy night next Wednesday at Hemel Stags rugby club.

The medical rep, who had no interest in the funny until he joined the Get Stuffed comedy course post divorce two years ago, now spends most of his free time at gigs.

Keen to give budding local comics the sort of chance he had as well as showcasing some more established comedians, the line-up for Lee’s first Laughing Badger Comedy Night is a great mix.

The headliner is ex Hollyoaks and Casualty star James Redmond who now performs six nights a week and debuted successfully at the Edinburgh Festival in 2011.

The dry, slick and subtle stand-up who delivers frequent unexpected twists will be joined by Alpine skiing sensation Flange Krammer, Mix 96 DJ Neil Quigley who completed this year’s Get Stuffed course, Winter, Simon Lacey, and Lee Cotton – another Tringe graduate.

The first Laughing Badger Comedy Night takes place at Hemel Stags rugby club, Pennine Way, Hemel Hempstead on Wednesday, October 3 from 7.30pm.

Tickets are £6 in advance from www.wegottickets.com/laughingbadger or www.facebook.com/laughingbadger.

Alternatively buy them on the door for £8.
