Garden lovers can plot a course to Great Gaddesden this weekend to take advantage of an open day that’s helping good causes.
The garden at 15 Gade Valley Cottages – described as a 165ft by 30ft sloping rural garden, patio, lawn, borders and pond – will be open as part of the National Gardens Scheme project onm Sunday from 2pm to 4pom.
According to the NGS database, paths lead through a woodland area emerging by wildlife pond and sunny border. A choice of seating offers sunny rural views or quiet shady contemplation with sounds of rustling bamboos and bubbling water.
If Sunday is too short notice, then there are more local gardens open later this month.
Homes in Hall Park Gate, Berkhamsted, and Tannsfield Drive in Hemel Hempstead will both be welcoming visitors on Sunday, August 18. You can find all the details at www.ngs.org.uk.
