PUBS: Two drinking holes in Berkhamsted and Tring have been named top pubs.

The mid-Chilterns branch of CAMRA (Campaign for Real Ale) chose The Kings Arms, of King Street, Tring as best pub for 2011.

Landlady Victoria North said: “It is a sign that we are doing the right thing, people like our beer and they keep coming.”

Berkhamsted’s The Rising Sun won the Cider Pub of the Year 2011 award.

The George Street pub will stage a beer and cider festival from Friday to Sunday.
