Here’s something different – cheery Christmas balloon workshops, teaching parents and little ones how to make Rudolf hats with curly horns and baubles, gingerbread men with white buttons and cheeky Santas, are on their way to Berkhamsted.
They will be taking place during December at Make Believe Cafe in The Wilderness, just behind the High Street Tesco store.
Balloon artist Lisa Dussek of Hemel Hempsrtead-based inspiredballoons.co.uk has teamed up with cafe manager Julie Bishop to host the fun, educational, hands-on craft activity.
The Rudolf hat workshop on Wednesday, December 4, aimed at parents and young ones, takes place from 10am to 11am, while the gingerbread man workshop takes place the following week on Wednesday, December 11, from 10am to 11am.
Places, which include a free squash, cost £8 per person although an adult working with a child is free.
The Santa workshop, for grown-ups or for parents accompanying children over 10, is on Friday, December 13 from 8pm to 9.30pm – it costs £12.50 per person and includes a free non-alcoholic drink.
Balloon pumps and the balloons to recreate your sculptures will be available to buy.
Places are limited, call ing Lisa on 07952 113735 or the Make Believe Cafe on 01442 863247 to make sure that you don’t miss out.
