A string of star names have been lined up to feature in the second Berkomedy Festival, which kicks off at the beginning of March.

With comedy gigs coming thick and fast at the Greene Rome in Berkhamsted’s Kings Arms pub until March 20, organisers – the same people who put together summer’s annual Tringe comedy bonanza in Tring – are offering a passport for the festival and encouraging buyers to share their season ticket to make sure seats don’t go unfilled.

The passport deal provides 14 nights of top comedy for just £65, starting from the opening gig featuring Romesh Ranganathan and Angela Barnes from Channel 4’s Stand Up For The Week and going right through to the final night with rising Irish name Jarlath Regan, one of the star turns at last year’s event.

Along the way there are slots reserved for familiar TV and radio performers NickHelm, whose sitcom Uncle has just made its debut on BBC3, Lucy Porter, Nathon Caton and Carl Donnelly, as well as many more.
