MEET world-class scientists – and snakes – at a free event.

It will be at the Natural History Museum in Akeman Street, Tring, from 6pm to 8pm tomorrow, Friday.

Visitors to the Science Uncovered event will be shown how scientists can use a fragment from an old egg to understand the bird that laid it, and how to identify a bird from microscopic feather fragments.

The guests – who must be aged 12 or above – can also meet live snakes, lizards and other reptiles from exotic pet store AmeyZoo, of Bovingdon High Street.

Museum manager Paul Kitching said: “Come along and be amazed by our scientists, the collections they look after and their stories, have a drink and join special events as we open our doors for this one night.”
