Pop along to see penguin capers

WHY not treat the children this Saturday to Long Nose Puppet’s new show Penguin at the Old Town Hall in Hemel?

The production is based on Polly Dunbar’s award-winning book and will be a spectacular theatrical experience for the whole family – although three to seven year olds are likely to be the most delighted!

Ben is over the moon when he rips open his present to see a penguin inside.

“Hello penguin”, says Ben but penguin says nothing, so Ben tickles the animal, and pulls his funniest face, puts on a happy hat, sings a silly song and does a dizzy dance.

Still penguin says nothing so Ben fires the mute beast into outer space.

Penguin, however, returns without a word.

It’s only when a passing lion intervenes that penguin finally speaks – and when he does, Ben discovers something that was really worth the wait.

Penguin is exciting, surreal and full of surprises, and the lively songs by Tom Gray of Gomez will have everyone joining in.

The show will be at the Old Town Hall Theatre, Hemel Hempstead on Saturday, September 29 at 11am and 2.30pm.
