Have a go at creating your own masterpiece as the folk at Berkhamsted Art Society are running informal outdoor sketching and painting sessions throughout August – weather permitting.
The next gathering takes place on Monday, August 8 in that quintessentially English village setting of Aldbury Pond. The location for many a TV drama perhaps it will inspire you too.
And on Monday, August 16 it’s at another pond – this time in Potten End. As this will be the last outdoor session of the summer, when the light fades artists will be encouraged to finish up in the pub.
The evenings start at 7pm and although there’s no need to book, it’s probably worth calling 07913 604828 in advance just to check that the good old English weather is not threatening any al fresco artistic endeavours.
