CARE home owners are inviting you to dance with the old people living there.

The doors of Kilfillan House Nursing Home in Graemesdyke Road, Berkhamsted, will be opened to the public on Monday (June 20) at 2.30pm as part of Bupa’s ‘Shall We Dance’ initiative.

Bupa, who own the place, aims to get 50,000 people dancing in its 300 worldwide care homes during the initiative from Monday, June 20, to the next Monday.

Its staff and inhabitants will be taught the specially-choreographed Bupa dance - suitable for all ages and abilities.

Berkhamsted home manager Caroline Spring said: “I’m sure these events will show people just how enjoyable dancing can be and that everyone can join in.

“It really doesn’t matter how well you can perform; it’s about having a good time and keeping healthy.”

‘Shall We Dance’ was launched last week by Ann Widdecombe and Anton du Beke - stars of the telly hit Strictly Come Dancing.
