ARTY youngsters have helped decorate their youth centre so that they can chill out in style.

They painted trippy murals including puzzled clouds that have got faces, flowers, butterflies, a cat, a bunny rabbit and a little girl with grey hair.

The gang were making a new design for part of the Swan Youth Centre in High Street, Berkhamsted.

Clare Muir, who is the hub’s coordinator, said: “The art’s really helped brighten up their chill out room.

“Members of the Swan Youth Centre now have a real sense of ownership, seeing their work on the walls for everyone to see.”

The fun week was funded by the Gade Valley Dcorative Arts Society, who donated £500 to pay for professional artist Joanna Scott to lead the youngsters.

The Society wants to fund art projects for other groups that work with young people.
