A feast of music on offer in a packed weekend of concerts

Music-lovers are spoiled for choice over the next few days with a string of summer concerts to enjoy.

Favourite opera choruses and selections from Porgy and Bess & Les Misérables will be on the programme when the Aeolian Singers perform at John F Kennedy School in Warners End on Saturday evening

The annual Summer Strawberry Sing session takes place on Saturday afternoon, when members of B Singing workshops perform a sunshine selection of songs in aid of Chiltern Music Therapy.

The concert starts at 3pm at St Peters Church in Berkhamsted.

Admission is free with strawberries and cream on sale in the interval and donations welcome at the end. It’s a concert for all the family and children are welcome!

Tuesday sees the latest in the series of lunchtime concerts at St Mary’s Church, Hemel Hempstead. Pianist Nicholas King, a regular guest, will showcase music by the French composer Charles-Vallentin Alkan (1813-1888).

The music starts at 12.30pm, there’s no charge but a suggested donation £3 would be gratefully received.
