This tough-looking staff room squad are standing by to run the rule over talented youngsters keen to play a part in a summer Tring Festival Company production.
But they’re not just in charge of the casting call – they will also be featuring in July’s performances of Fame Junior.
The show’s creative director, musical director and choreographer will all be playing the roles of teachers – but there are lots of other slots to fill, and the hunt is on for ‘students’ aged eight to 15 to sign up.
There are audition sessions lined up next month – on Saturday, February 8 for those aged eight to 10 and on the following day for those aged from 11 to 15, with three time slots available on each day.
The show itself will run for five days in July.
The company’s Eileen Rance said: “This is a production with a difference.
“Creative director Amy Dunstall, musical director Eric Wilson and choreographer Eloise Markham will work with performers at rehearsals to develop their acting skills and show them techniques in directing, musical directing and choreography.
“Amy is also directing our 2014 Youth Show, Grease, and will be bringing some of the principals from that show to Fame Junior rehearsals, where they will work alongside younger performers to explain how a role can be developed.”
