A daredevil youngster from Hemel Hempstead has secured a top-six place in a prestigious national motocross competition.

Brad Nolan, 11, completed the GT Cup GoldenTyre National Motocross Series and finished in sixth spot from a field of more than 40 riders in the 65cc category.

Brad, who will be starting at Longdean School in September, put in plenty of hard work, blood, sweat, tears and sheer determination to impress against other young riders from all over the UK, Ireland and Isle of Man.

He had various problems along the way including broken bikes and crashes, but he aimed to be top-10 in the country and worked exceptionally hard to make it happen.

During the seven-month series, Brad was also awarded Rider of the Weekend, beating off the competition from more than 300 riders to win a £200 voucher.

The ace youngster was recently nominated for Elite Performer of the Year at the Key Stage 2 DSSN Sports Awards, and was boosted by sponsorship from Allease Aylesbury, Chris Osborn from Hi-Tech Express and Danny Dirtbikes during the 2014 season.

He is currently on the hunt for sponsorship for the 2015 campaign, and anybody interested in lending their support to the up-and-coming rider should contact his parents, Jo and Vince, on 07930277204.
