Dacorum & Tring AC Road Runner Anya Higgins completed the London to Paris Bike Ride – a 300-mile cycling event held over four days.
Anya rode solo to raise money for the Multiple Sclerosis Society.
There were 111 cyclists on the ride – 40 of them women – and Anya was the second lady to reach the finish line in central Paris, in a cumulative time of just under 23 hours.
Before the ride, she had planned to do 80 miles on each of the first three days and 60 miles the final day, based on an average of 14-15 mph, to finish in around 22 hours.
Anya said: “It was a crazy adventure. It was very competitive, even though it’s a charity ride! It was brilliant, though - I’d definitely do it again.”
