The Tring Ladies’ fourth XI came out on top in a seven goal thriller at Royston.
Tring started sluggishly, but despite Royston’s domination, the visitors took the lead against the run of play.
Royston, though, continued to press and fired in two goals in quick succession to take a 2-1 lead into the break.
However, as the second half wore on, Tring’s superior fitness came into play.
The away side equalised only for Royston to immediately score from the restart.
For the last 20 minutes, Tring piled on the pressure and made it 3-3 with 15 minutes to go.
With 10 minutes left on the clock Tring scored the winner thanks to a well-executed reverse stick flick.
The ladies’ third side, meanwhile, recorded a 1-0 win at bottom of the table Welwyn in their last league game of the season.
Tring dominated from start to finish, but an excellent display by the Welwyn keeper kept the scoreline down.
Tring’s only goal came midway through the first half as an incisive passing movement ended with Olivia Wright slotting the ball into the far bottom corner.
The visitors continued to push for more goals and came close in the second half, when a saved shot from Daisy Goldhagen was controlled in the air by Wright, whose effort cannoned back off the post.
With no further goals, Tring took the points and the victory means the side finish the season in third place in the league with eight wins, one draw and five losses.
